Our client, the nation’s largest and most diverse union, located in the heart of Capitol Hill, is seeking an Operator/Indexer to join their Affiliates & Automated Records Department. This onsite role, conveniently accessible by Metro, offers a 35-hour workweek , making it an excellent opportunity for professionals looking for a stable and balanced work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Answer all incoming calls with professionalism and proper telephone etiquette.
• Receive, log, and distribute messages to appropriate individuals.
• Assist in indexing and organizing general correspondence and department files.
• Enter department files into the computer database with accuracy.
• Review and categorize administrative files, determining appropriate indexing and setup.
• Maintain inventory and ensure the availability of department supplies.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
• At least one year of administrative experience in a professional setting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent proofreading and editing abilities.
