Job Description

Advanced Professional Security (APS) is looking for a Security Guard to join our team at Denver International Airport. The Guard protects the client and assigned property from criminal activity and trespassing.  

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication, excellent observational skills, and previous surveillance experience, preferably in a law enforcement environment. This person should be able to remain calm in high-pressure situations while exhibiting patience and superb attention to detail.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other specialized equipment.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and patrol designated areas to detect and prevent security breaches.
  • Following established protocols, respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
  • Provide excellent customer service while always maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Collaborate with airport staff, law enforcement, and other security personnel to coordinate security efforts and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
