Job Description

Located in Philadelphia, PA we are an insurance litigation firm looking for a motivated attorney to join our team and hit the ground running!

Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of complex insurance defense cases from inception through resolution, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases.
  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement effective legal strategies, conduct thorough legal research, and draft compelling legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Client Representation: Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation, effectively advocating their interests and providing high-quality legal defense.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters, striving for favorable outcomes while managing risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the practice of insurance defense law.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with developments in insurance defense law, industry trends, and emerging legal issues to provide cutting-edge legal solutions.

MUST HAVE, experience with:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • License: Active state bar membership in Philadelphia and eligibility to practice law.
  • Demonstrated track record of handling complex cases.
  • Insurance coverage or insurance defense experience

NICE TO HAVE, experience with:

  • Construction defect cases, general liability, sexual abuse
