Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Entry-Level Buyer to join our procurement team. As an Entry-Level Buyer, you will support the purchasing department in acquiring goods and services necessary for the smooth operations of the company. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, or services required by the company.
Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to review purchase requisitions and place orders.
Research and identify potential suppliers and vendors, evaluating their offerings, prices, and delivery times.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory is maintained and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Review and analyze product quality, specifications, and prices to ensure the best value for the company.
Assist with the preparation and negotiation of purchase agreements and contracts.
Resolve any issues with vendors related to product quality, shipment delays, or discrepancies in invoices.
Support in managing returns and exchanges of faulty or incorrect products.
Keep track of purchase order statuses and provide regular updates to the relevant internal departments.
Assist in the preparation of reports on purchasing activities, trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Strong interest in procurement or supply chain management.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP software is a plus.
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
Preferred Skills (optional):
Internship or previous work experience in procurement or purchasing is a plus.
Basic understanding of vendor negotiation, supplier management, and contract management.
