Job Title: Category Manager – Raw Materials

Role Scope:

We’re seeking a Category Manager to lead strategy development and execution for raw material categories. This role drives supplier performance, contract management, and value creation while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with multi-year value creation goals.
• Use market intelligence and spend analytics to identify cost savings, risk mitigation, and innovation opportunities.
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in partnership with Legal to ensure comprehensive coverage and value realization.
• Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, leading category council meetings and supporting supplier performance management.
• Support new product introduction, tech transfer initiatives, and resolution of supplier issues.
• Execute sourcing processes (RFx), supplier evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage data integrity across procurement platforms (PowerBI, Ariba/Coupa, SAP/Oracle, SharePoint, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, finance, or supply chain.
• 3–5+ years’ procurement experience with expertise in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• 1–3+ years in biotech/life sciences industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes; SAP/Ariba experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP manufacturing processes and regulations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work on cross-functional and global teams.
