With continued growth and a private equity partner, we are seeking a forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and lead the company’s finance, accounting, and strategic planning functions

Position Overview

The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and enterprise value creation at Minerva Beauty. This leader will serve as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and Board, bringing a strong foundation in private equity-backed environments, entrepreneurial agility, and hands-on operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Finance & Leadership
• Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes.
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives and private equity expectations.
• Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic initiatives, including new markets, product line expansion, and potential M&A activity.
• Accounting & Audit Oversight
• Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and accounting practices.
• Ensure timely completion of month-end close, financial reporting, and annual audits.
• Lead preparation and coordination of financial audits, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Private Equity & Investor Relations
• Serve as the primary liaison with the private equity sponsor, supporting portfolio-level reporting, KPIs, covenant compliance, and value creation initiatives.
• Drive cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and scenario modeling to meet PE growth targets.
• Team Development & Leadership
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
• Instill a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Operational & Systems Optimization
• Partner cross-functionally to implement improved financial systems, dashboards, and controls.
• Analyze operational data to identify cost savings, margin improvement, and profitability opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, with CFO or VP Finance experience in a small to mid-sized business.
• Proven experience in a private equity-backed environment , including board reporting, debt covenant management, and liquidity planning.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up sleeves and solve problems hands-on.
• Experience supporting operational teams, product launches, inventory and global supply chain finance.
• Demonstrated success in audit preparation , financial system implementation, and team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders and investors.
