Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Civil Designer to support our civil engineering team in producing high-quality design documents for land development, infrastructure, and utility projects. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 0–2 years of experience who are eager to grow their technical skills and contribute to real-world engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of civil site plans, grading plans, utility layouts , and roadway designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support senior designers and engineers with design calculations , drafting, and revisions.
• Interpret sketches, survey data, and engineering notes to develop detailed design drawings.
• Perform basic quantity take-offs , material estimates, and data entry for reports.
• Ensure that drawings comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or certification in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree a plus).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D ; familiarity with MicroStation or other design software is a bonus.
• Strong interest in civil engineering and infrastructure design.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new tools and processes.
• Ability to follow instructions , manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred but Not Required:

• Internship or co-op experience in a civil engineering or drafting environment
• Exposure to stormwater, roadway, or utility design concepts
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and local codes
