Claims Coordinator – Construction Risk & Claims

Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 annually

Position Summary

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Claims Coordinator to manage external claims related to construction operations. This role focuses on auto/truck damage, property incidents, and third-party liability —not medical or workers’ comp-heavy cases. You’ll work closely with legal teams, field staff, and insurance carriers to investigate and resolve claims efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and manage auto/truck claims (e.g., equipment collisions, rock-related windshield damage, third-party property incidents).
  • Coordinate with legal counsel to assess claim validity, gather evidence, and support litigation or settlements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between field teams, insurance carriers, legal representatives, and third-party claimants.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of incidents, investigations, and resolutions.
  • Analyze claim trends and recommend preventative strategies to reduce future risk.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and insurance regulations.
  • Provide occasional backup support for workers’ comp or medical claims.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in claims coordination, risk management, or legal support—preferably in the construction industry .
  • Strong knowledge of auto liability, property damage, and third-party claims processes.
  • Experience collaborating with legal teams or insurance adjusters on investigations and settlements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in claims tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and HRIS platforms.
