Who you are: Do you love providing exceptional care for animals? Are you an experienced current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or an experienced Senior Veterinary Assistant who can help organize, motivate, coach, and address issues in an open, tactful, and humble manner? About the role: - Manage a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ER/CCU department, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Collaborate with other department managers to optimize patient outcomes and client satisfaction
- Implement and maintain protocols and procedures to uphold clinical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide support and guidance to team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development
- Demonstrate solid veterinary clinical skills and be a role model for the team
- Facilitate direct or indirect training for department staff
- Provide routine assessment of skill level and knowledge
- Complete monthly schedule and ensure adequate coverage
- Manage department payroll and staffing costs, including review and approval of timecards
- Deliver results in areas of staff development, best practices (SOPs), training, client satisfaction, and safety
The compensation range for this role falls between $30-$45 an hour with additional paid overnight shift differentials.
Basic required qualifications: - 3+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent positive and productive communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Desired qualifications:
- Current RVT license – preferred
- Previous team leadership experience preferred
- ER/CCU specialty experience
Work schedule:
- Full-time (40 hours)
- Overnight Shift
- 4/10 Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule with the ability to provide mentoring and coaching on all shifts
