We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Construction HVAC Project Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and completion of HVAC projects within the commercial construction sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing HVAC systems for large-scale commercial buildings, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of HVAC systems for commercial construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review and approve HVAC drawings, specifications, and system designs.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry standards.
  1. Budget and Cost Management:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC installation and systems.
  • Manage the project budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Track expenses, monitor costs, and ensure the project remains within budget.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and lead the HVAC installation team, including subcontractors, vendors, and laborers.
  • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, motivation, and support to team members.
  1. Scheduling and Timelines:
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate work schedules between internal teams and external subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  1. Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Oversee the quality of HVAC installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that installations meet industry standards and local codes.
  • Ensure all permits and inspections are secured in a timely manner.
  1. Communication and Reporting:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, potential risks, and key milestones.
  • Address and resolve any project-related issues or concerns promptly.
  1. Problem-Solving and Risk Management:
  • Proactively identify potential risks or delays and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during the installation phase.
  • Ensure that project safety and risk management plans are implemented and followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC project management, specifically in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale HVAC projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints and technical specifications.
  • PMP or other project management certification (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • Primarily office-based with regular visits to job sites.
  • Ability to travel to project locations as required.
