Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and dependable professional to help manage and inspect water and stormwater construction projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring all work aligns with design plans, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring solid construction experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with field crews and contractors to ensure construction and utility installations meet established plans and codes.
• Attend pre-construction meetings to provide input and help align expectations among stakeholders.
• Review blueprints, technical drawings, and project specs to confirm compliance with ordinances and construction standards.
• Conduct on-site inspections, identify potential issues (such as drainage concerns), and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Inspect construction materials to verify they meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other departments, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Complete routine administrative tasks, including preparing reports, updating records, and managing project documentation.
• Participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, and seminars to stay up to date with best practices and regulations.
• Be available to work during emergencies or in challenging weather conditions if needed.
• Review contractor invoices and change order requests, and make informed recommendations for approval.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support project success.

Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in construction (utility-related work preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and uphold values of honesty, integrity, teamwork, and commitment.
