Job Description

Why is This a Great Opportunity?

This position offers a unique opportunity to join a high-performance team within a growing general contractor focused on delivering complex, high-quality construction projects. The company has seen strong momentum in recent years, expanding its presence across multiple sectors and taking on increasingly visible work in the region.

With a steady pipeline of local projects and a collaborative team culture, this role is ideal for a superintendent who takes pride in jobsite leadership, quality execution, and contributing to a company that's building for long-term success. Employees enjoy competitive compensation, meaningful benefits, and the chance to grow with a company that values initiative, professionalism, and accountability.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the successful on-site execution of commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects ranging from $5M to $15M. This full-time role involves supervising field teams, enforcing safety protocols, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and schedule performance.

The Superintendent will be the primary leader on-site, coordinating subcontractors, working closely with project managers, and serving as the go-to contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations, overseeing crews of up to 20 workers.

• Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with OSHA standards.

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and deliveries.

• Enforce project timelines, quality expectations, and safety procedures.

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents; update redlines and as-builts as needed.

• Ensure thorough documentation: daily reports, material tracking, quantity logs, and receipts.

• Manage changes in scope and communicate relevant updates to project managers.

• Conduct walkthroughs, inspections, and end-of-day closeouts to ensure progress and site readiness.

• Assist or perform skilled construction work when necessary.

• Identify and address field issues or delays; coordinate resolutions with the broader team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years in field construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.

• Demonstrated success managing commercial or industrial construction projects valued between $5M–$15M.

• Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and site logistics.

• Proficient in reading construction plans and technical specifications.

• OSHA 30 certification (or OSHA 10 with commitment to complete 30-hour within 90 days).

• Experience using project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word).

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage project milestones, production schedules, and quality control measures effectively.

• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, and navigate active job sites.

• Valid driver’s license required.
