Customer Service Representative (Call Center) – Remote

📍 Location: Remote (Training & occasional meetings in-person at 624 N. Pleasant Valley)

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday (11 AM–8 PM) or Saturday/Sunday (9 AM–5 PM); weekend availability required. Flexible schedule.

Salary: $ 22/Hourly/W-2

Job Summary: We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team! This role is responsible for handling incoming calls in our Contact Center, assisting customers with inquiries about routes, schedules, fares, mobile app support, and more. The position reports to the Customer Service Supervisor and requires excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with trip planning, schedules, and fare information via phone.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve inquiries effectively.
• Troubleshoot and support mobile applications.
• Utilize multiple systems, including ATIS, OrbCAD, Bytemark, and Microsoft Office.
• Interpret maps and provide accurate travel directions.
• Log and process customer feedback and complaints.
• Support safety and security policies within the Customer Service Department.
• Function as a "mission-critical" employee during emergency situations.

Qualifications

✔ Education: High school diploma or GED required.

✔ Experience:

• 3+ years of professional customer service experience.
• 1+ year of experience using public transit services.
• Prior call center experience preferred.

✔ Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read maps and provide accurate travel guidance.
• Experience troubleshooting mobile applications.

✔ Preferred: Bilingual in English & Spanish.

Work Environment

• Remote role with occasional in-person training/meetings.
• Fast-paced call center setting with scheduled breaks/lunches.
• Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; occasional overtime.
