Overview:

Insight Global is in search of a Document Controls Engineer to support one of our largest Oil & Gas clients in the Pittsburgh area. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of project documentation throughout the lifecycle of engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with EDMS platforms, strong document control fundamentals, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Day to Day:

• Receive, review, and upload engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor documents into the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) with accurate metadata.
• Maintain document revision histories, ensuring that only the most current versions are accessible to project teams.
• Prepare and issue document transmittals to internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Conduct thorough checks for metadata accuracy, formatting, and compliance with document control procedures.
• Participate in project meetings to stay aligned with engineering, procurement, and construction teams on documentation needs and deadlines.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on document control systems and best practices.
• Generate document status reports, overdue logs, and audit trails to support project tracking and compliance.
• Assist with internal and external audits by organizing and retrieving required documentation.
