Our Client has an immediate need for Direct Support Professionals in the Virginia Beach area.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide support to persons with intellectual, developmental, and sometimes physical and/or medical and behavioral disabilities.
* Provide a secure and responsive environment that enables consumers to maximize their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual capabilities
* Provide guidance to residents assisting with social skills, transportation, health and personal hygiene, food preparation, and housekeeping
* Transportation to appointments, community events, and outings
* Provide and assist with independent living skills training as needed

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Successful candidates will have a passion for assisting others with their daily activities, accompanying them to doctor appointments, performing light housekeeping duties, running errands, and providing companionship.
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Certified Medication Technician (preferred)
* Follow written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document dosages and times
* Must have a valid Driver's License, and acceptable driving record
* Must have the ability to interact with clients and consumers in a positive manner within the community
* Provide patient care, update records, and complete forms accurately
