Position Overview

The Director of Compliance and Contracts is responsible for overseeing all contract administration, regulatory compliance, and subcontractor management across VMG. This role ensures the company operates within legal, contractual, and safety standards while optimizing risk management and subcontractor performance. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, review, and negotiate subcontractor agreements, vendor contracts, and client contract terms.
  • Oversee company compliance with legal, regulatory, safety, and insurance requirements.
  • Establish and enforce subcontractor qualification, onboarding, and performance standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance, certifications, and adherence to safety and quality expectations.
  • Resolve subcontractor issues, disputes, and contract-related concerns.
  • Develop and maintain contract policies, templates, and best practices.
  • Partner with Project Management, Field Operations, Finance, and Safety to ensure alignment.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and operational risks.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, compliance, construction administration, or related work.
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor agreements, construction regulations, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to implement company-wide processes.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
