Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction (New York, NY)

Location: New York City, New York

Compensation: Competitive base salary ($120,000–$160,000 range) + performance-based bonus

Position Summary

We’re seeking a seasoned Electrical Project Manager to oversee complex, multi-million-dollar commercial projects within the design-build environment. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen - managing all aspects of project delivery, from estimating and scheduling to execution, client relationships, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-value electrical construction projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with contractual, financial, and safety objectives.
  • Develop strategic project plans and drive performance to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Analyze progress data and proactively implement corrective actions to stay on schedule.
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent updates on project status and milestones.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop execution strategies and risk management plans.
  • Manage project financials - including cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, and revenue projections.
  • Oversee internal coordination meetings to ensure effective collaboration across design, procurement, and field operations.
  • Delegate responsibilities to project engineers and assistant managers, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across the project team.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in electrical construction and integrate innovative practices into project delivery.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with clients and subcontractors to foster repeat business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience managing large-scale electrical or MEP projects, ideally within commercial, institutional, or mission-critical sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems, lighting, and controls.
  • Proven success in managing project budgets, schedules, and teams for multi-million-dollar builds.
  • Experience with design-build and pre-fabrication workflows.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex construction challenges creatively and effectively.
  • Track record of mentoring junior project staff and promoting team development.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives.
  • 401(k) plan with generous company match and immediate vesting.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (employee coverage fully paid).
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and personal leave.
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, and flexible spending accounts.
  • Professional development funding, licensing support, and training opportunities.
  • A collaborative, inclusive environment built on respect, accountability, and innovation.

Who You Are

You’re a hands-on leader who thrives on delivering complex electrical projects with precision and purpose. You understand how to plan months ahead, manage the financial and technical sides of construction, and lead your team with integrity. You’re driven by results — not just for your projects, but for your people.

Join a team that powers innovation.

If you’re ready to lead major electrical projects and take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you.
