Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Hanover Park, IL

Salary: $95,000-$115,000+ Bonus (95% Travel)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our client's organization in the Hanover Park, IL area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review operation and maintenance manuals to prepare for equipment start-up service and training
• Read and understand electrical-electronic schematic diagrams
• Travel to customer sites to inspect equipment and assist with final adjustments during equipment testing to ensure proper operation
• Work with electrical engineers to adjust control panel wiring and/or modify programmable logic controller programs on-site
• Provide on-site training to plant staff on equipment operation and maintenance
• Process detailed service reports of equipment installation
• Provide technical support in troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment with customers via email or phone

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of related experience as a mechanic or millwright. Electrical and/or machine field service experience is a plus
• Proficient in the use of computers (word, PDF) and the ability to read civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Self-starter who can work independently while still communicating with customers and supervisors
• Ability to move, carry, or lift up to 50 pounds
