Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Household Manager & Personal Assistant to support the busy CEO of a fast-growing start-up in Austin. This is a permanent, full-time role for someone who thrives on creating order, anticipating needs, and making life easier behind the scenes.

If you love crossing things off your to-do list, enjoy cooking fresh, healthy meals, and take pride in keeping a household running smoothly, all while maintaining utmost professionalism and discretion, then we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

While no two days look exactly alike, your focus is constant: keeping the household running smoothly and the CEO’s personal life in order, so they can stay focused on growing the business.

Some responsibilities you’ll own:

  • Grocery shopping & keeping the pantry stocked and organized
  • Cleaning out the fridge & prepping healthy, simple meals for the week
  • Light daily tidying to keep the home presentable between bi-weekly cleanings
  • Laundry & garment care (including hang-dry and proper folding)
  • Organizing closets, garage, and storage spaces
  • Keeping the CEO’s car clean, fueled, and serviced
  • Running errands (dry cleaning, post office, hardware store, etc.)
  • Shopping for clothing, accessories, and thoughtful gifts
  • Coordinating with and overseeing vendors, contractors, and maintenance
  • Managing special projects (e.g., arranging fence repair, replacing rugs, home decor, etc.)
  • Occasionally dropping off or picking up items from the office

What You Bring

  • Previous experience as a Household Manager, Personal Assistant, or Executive Assistant, ideally supporting a busy professional or entrepreneur
  • Proven ability to keep things organized and anticipate needs without being asked
  • Act on requests the first time, with sound judgment and minimal guidance
  • Comfort with email, calendars, and basic project tracking tools (we use G-Suite & Asana)
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Absolute discretion and respect for privacy
  • Time management superpowers; able to juggle multiple tasks gracefully
  • Comfort cooking fresh, healthy meals and following recipes (bonus points if you enjoy it!)
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 10am–6pm

What We Offer

We value and invest in the people who make our lives easier. Here’s what we offer:

  • Competitive salary: $60,000–$70,000/year, depending on experience
  • 9+ paid holidays per year
  • 17 days of PTO to start
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • 401(k) plan
  • Company-provided laptop
  • Flexible hours when possible

If you’re a proactive, trustworthy professional who takes pride in making life easier for others and you find joy in creating an organized, efficient home, this could be the perfect fit.
