Job Summary:

IPH is seeking an HR Portfolio Project Consultant who will be responsible for driving coordination, tracking, and reporting of key people-related projects and initiatives across the organization. This individual will work closely with HR leadership, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and cross-functional teams to manage HR program roadmaps, track key deliverables, support change management, and ensure consistent execution of people strategies.

This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented, proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can translate people strategies into actionable, measurable workstreams.

Job Location: Hybrid – Scottsdale (1-2 days onsite per week)

Job Type: 1099 Contract - 6+ months

Main Responsibilities:

Program & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate execution of key HR initiatives, such as performance management, DEI programs, and talent reviews)
  • Maintain detailed project plans, track milestones, and ensure cross-functional accountability
  • Monitor progress and risks across initiatives, escalate issues, and support resolution efforts

People Strategy Operations

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to consolidate and maintain the annual HR roadmap
  • Align HR initiatives to broader enterprise strategies and timelines
  • Partner with HR COEs (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, L&D) to ensure consistent rollout of programs across business units

HR Portfolio Reporting & Metrics

  • Track KPIs for HR initiatives (e.g., turnover, internal mobility, engagement scores, DEI targets)
  • Develop regular status reports and dashboards to keep HR leadership informed
  • Support preparation of materials for senior leadership and board updates

Change & Communications Support

  • Coordinate communication planning for HR programs and ensure alignment with internal comms and change management leads
  • Support creation of HR communications such as FAQs, email templates, manager talking points, and training guides
  • Partner with business unit HR teams to support change adoption across geographies and functions

HR Budget & Vendor Tracking

  • Support HR budgeting efforts by maintaining dashboards of program costs, vendor spend, and resource allocation
  • Track contract renewals, SOWs, and invoicing for key HR vendors in partnership with procurement and finance

M&A and Integration Coordination

  • Assist with people-side planning and coordination for M&A activity, including org design documentation, HRIS data alignment, and communication support
  • Support integration playbooks, timelines, and progress reporting for HR workstreams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or relevant field
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 2+ years project management experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale HR initiatives, ideally in a multi-business-unit or matrixed environment
  • Expertise with key HR functional areas including talent management, employee experience, DEI, and HR technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management certification
  • Excellent project and program coordination skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets, project tracking tools, and HRIS platforms
  • Effective communicator who can translate HR program goals into execution plans
  • Collaborative working style and ability to partner across a matrixed HR team
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on tracking outcomes and impact
