Human Resource Coordinator

The HR Coordinator, working in partnership with and reporting to the Director of Human Resources, plays a key role in fostering a positive employee experience, maintaining organizational culture, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting both Luci Creative and Ravenswood Studio.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist and maintain the HRIS system updates (Paycom) including payroll processes, processing deductions, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for payroll and management.

Coordinate and manage associate benefit programs, workers compensation, leave of absence, and unemployment claims.

Assist with the talent acquisition process including drafting new job descriptions, posting job openings, screening candidates and coordinating interviews.

Promote a people-first culture by working collaboratively with team leaders to develop and organize employee engagement initiatives, provide recognition, celebrate milestones, and encourage feedback.

Be an approachable and trusted resource to provide supportive guidance to managers and team members to continually enhance performance and employee relations within our positive, supportive and respectful culture.

Maintain Share Folder on Network Drive to ensure effective communication with employees and management.

Maintain accurate digital staff records.

Assist company employees with basic needs (Direction, update personnel information, questions etc.).

Support HR Director with Employee Pre-Employment Tasks, Onboarding and Offboarding

Collaborate with HR Director to guide employees through their journey within the organization and address employee inquiries and concerns.

Support the HR Director to implement talent development strategies (e.g., growth plans, career mapping, goal setting) that boost satisfaction and retention.

Contribute to a world-class culture rooted in respect, trust, teamwork, engagement, accountability, and purpose.

Other job related duties as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively support employees at all levels.

Solid organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Ability to understand the company’s hierarchy, job structures, compensation practices, and related administrative processes.

Analytical and data-driven approach to measuring HR program effectiveness.

Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

1-3 years of HR experience.

Knowledge of HR best practices, federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to HR.

PHR Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements: In-person in Lincolnwood, 5 days a week

Compensation:

$50,000/ year, following one year of continuous employment, an employee will become eligible to participate in the Team Member Incentive Plan (4% bonus potential) if the company meets the financial objections, prorated on the date of hire.
