About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Laboratory Technician to join our Formulations Laboratory in Kansas City. In this role, you'll conduct routine analytical testing that supports process control, quality assurance, and product development.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct physical and analytical testing using instruments such as:
  • pH meters, viscometers, rheometers
  • Auto-titrators, laser particle size analyzers
  • Operate STARLiMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and instrument-specific software
  • Search and reference databases for test methods and specifications
  • Record and report analytical results with precision
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, and internal documentation standards
  • Adhere to strict safety, housekeeping, and waste disposal protocols
  • Support lab operations: clean equipment, prepare solutions, manage samples and waste
  • Understand and apply RCRA hazardous waste regulations, including labeling, recordkeeping, and emergency protocols

Who You Are

  • Educational background in science with one of the following:
  • High school diploma with chemistry & algebra + lab/work experience
  • 10–20 college hours in chemistry and algebra
  • BS in a science discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Willing and able to work variable shifts including some weekends

Schedule

🕒 Evening Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:00 PM

🕖 Weekend Coverage: ~2 weekend days/month, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
