Job Description

Shattuck-St. Mary’s School seeks a friendly, organized Library Assistant to help run our 6–12 grade library. The ideal candidate enjoys working with teens, promotes reading, and keeps the library running smoothly.  Starting wage is $16.00 per hour; schedule is flexible but includes evenings and weekends.

 Responsibilities:

• Support daily library operations and student supervision
• Assist students with finding materials and using technology
• Process, shelve, and organize library materials
• Create displays and support literacy programs
• Help with school and library events

 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in libraries, schools, or youth services preferred
• Comfortable with technology and digital resources
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Flexible schedule including some evenings/weekends
• Must be able to climb steps, library is located on 2nd floor of Johnson Armory
