Licensed Massage Therapist (W-2)

Well Rested Massage | Millbury, MA

Well Rested Massage is seeking one motivated, independent Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing practice.

This position is best suited for a therapist who is confident working independently, skilled in therapeutic massage from medium to deep pressure , and motivated to build and maintain their own schedule while receiving some client overflow and internal referrals.

The Role

This is a W-2 employee position offering stability and support— without micromanagement .

You’ll have access to:

• A professional, fully equipped workspace (hydraulic tables + professionally laundered linens)
• Scheduling and booking systems
• Some client overflow and internal referrals
• Community connections and partnerships

While support is provided, success in this role depends on initiative, consistency, and follow-through .

Compensation

• Starting at $35 per 60-minute session , based on experience
• Pay is per session , not hourly
• Tips are additional
• Commissions available for upgrades (e.g., hot stone), not included in base rate
• Rates for longer sessions are adjusted accordingly

Sample Weekly Earnings (Example)

• 15 × 60-minute sessions/week → $525+ base pay
• 20 × 60-minute sessions/week → $700+ base pay

(Tips and upgrade commissions are in addition to base session pay and vary by client.)

Who You Are

• Licensed Massage Therapist in Massachusetts
• Comfortable working independently and managing your sessions
• Reliable, professional, and client-focused
• Confident customizing pressure and treatment plans
• Motivated to grow within a small, community-rooted practice

Preferred (but not required):

• Hot stone certification
• Cupping training
• Prenatal massage certification
