Job Summary

Cousins Maine Lobster is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various marketing initiatives, enhancing brand visibility, and driving engagement across multiple channels. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced marketing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Calendar Management:

-Assist the marketing team in overseeing and managing the holistic marketing calendar for Cousins Maine Lobster and its affiliates

-Log holidays, special events, milestones and the like that the marketing team deems necessary to build marketing around.

  • Weekly Marketing Meetings:

-Attend all weekly virtual marketing meetings and take concise and accurate notes that can be distributed to the team afterwards.

-Take an active role in marketing meetings in regard to ensuring marketing campaigns are in line with our holistic marketing calendar, and relay objectives, deadlines, as well as track progress for the team.

-Update project boards in project management platforms as deadlines and projects evolve in marketing meetings and planning, including active projects and logging new ones.

-Coordinate with team members to ensure timely execution of marketing activities.

-Assist with preparation and distribution of marketing materials to the Franchise System.

  • Copywriting:

-Craft engaging and creative written content for marketing campaigns, email newsletters, mobile app campaigns, SMS messaging, digital marketing, and more.

-Strong focus on proof-reading, editing, and ensuring all copy adheres to brand standards and proper grammar.

  • Review Management:

-Oversee our customer review platform for eCommerce, including review of posted reviews, and responding to customer reviews.

  • Public Relations:

-Work with our corporate Public Relations team on PR related activities, keeping them informed of new unit openings, LTO’s, and other marketing calendar events that they might be able to pitch to news outlets, both on the national and local level.

  • Email + SMS Marketing Management:

-Manage the sending of email and SMS marketing campaigns.

-Track performance and reporting for campaigns to ensure we’re in line with expectations and previously set goals.

  • Develop Social Media Content for Ecommerce Business:

-Help strategize and develop some Social Media Content for our Ecommerce division, including Instagram Story series.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Keep an eye on industry trends to share ideas/thoughts/ and feedback in a constructive manner.

Requirements

  • Strong copywriting experience.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools is preferred.
  • Understanding of product management principles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and Google analytics tools is beneficial.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms is desirable.
  • Strong skills in email marketing campaigns, including A/B testing and performance analysis is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is highly valued.
