Job Description

The Supervisor of Nursing plays a key role in overseeing clinical nursing services within a hospice and palliative care setting. This position requires a strong commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Supervisor of Nursing will lead and support the interdisciplinary care team, oversee clinical operations, and contribute to policy development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff, including RNs, LVNs, and hospice aides, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with hospice and healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Participate in policy-making, strategic planning, and risk management.
• Monitor, evaluate, and respond to patient and physician concerns.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and medical practices.
• Provide leadership, training, and performance evaluations for clinical staff.
• Oversee medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in business development activities and community outreach.
• Assist with staff credentialing and new site developments.
• Support and participate in hospice-related events and fundraisers.
• Ensure effective communication of clinical and administrative updates to the leadership team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a clinical setting.
• Active State of Texas Nursing License (RN).
• Experience managing personnel, payroll budgets, business planning, and physician relations.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and implement best practices.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
• Valid TX Driver’s License and daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Must pass a drug test and background check .
• Ability to work across multiple locations within Texas as required.
