Job Description

: We are seeking a talented and motivated Outside Sales Specialist & Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing custom kitchen and bath spaces, providing expert sales guidance, and ensuring a seamless client experience from initial consultation through project completion.

Position will be based out of one of the Kirchner Building Centers locations in Central Illinois or West Central Indiana (Kansas, IL; Marshall, IL; Charleston, IL; Mattoon, IL; Casey, IL; Newton, IL; Evansville, IN; or Princeton, IN).

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Design Consultation:

  • Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for kitchen and bath remodels or new installations.
  • Develop and present design concepts, including layout plans, material selections, and color schemes, using design software and physical samples.
  • Provide expert recommendations on design trends, product options, and functional solutions.

Sales and Client Relationship Management:

  • Generate and follow up on leads, converting potential clients into sales through effective communication and persuasive presentation of design solutions.
  • Prepare detailed quotes, proposals, and contracts for clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met and timelines are adhered to.
  • Oversee the ordering and delivery of materials and products, ensuring quality and timely arrival.
  • Address any client concerns or issues that arise during the project, providing solutions and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

Product Knowledge and Inventory Management:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and innovations in kitchen and bath design.
  • Manage showroom displays, ensuring they are well-organized and representative of current offerings.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking product samples.

Marketing and Outreach:

  • Participate in promotional events, trade shows, and community outreach to increase brand visibility and attract new clients.
  • Contribute to marketing materials, including brochures, website content, and social media posts, showcasing completed projects and client testimonials.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications or training in kitchen and bath design is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in kitchen and bath design and sales, with a proven track record of successful project management and client satisfaction.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in 20/20 design software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong sales skills with the ability to build relationships and close deals.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Other: Valid driver's license. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Company vehicle provided.

Compensation details: 50000-100000 Yearly Salary
