Job Description

Event Producer - Norfolk/Virginia Beach - Virginia

Our team is seeking its next top performer and events visionary.

Have you ever thought about being an event planner, without having to source your own clients? If you dig this and can juggle many priorities, then read on.

Vision Implementors has an immediate opening and a ground floor opportunity!

  1. Supported independence. Micro-management isn’t in our dictionary. Make decisions. Ask questions (there’s no stupid ones). Use our approachable support systems. Take chances. Learn. Rinse. Repeat.
  2. Flexible environment. Our event producer role is a hybrid model of work-from-home event planning coupled with on-the-ground production of events. This allows for a large amount of flexibility in your day to day schedule.
  3. Growth culture. We want to empower you to become the expert at what you do. Our diverse team model allows us to have a supportive community where learning and skill development are foundational. A willingness to learn is all that is asked in return.
  4. Engaging experiences. Our clients are entrepreneurs from many walks of life and avenues of business. The events we help to create for them feature prominent and impactful speakers and activities. While you take an active role in making sure these events go off without a hitch from ideation to execution, this is also your chance to be in the room where it happens.

This is a position in which we’ll want you to…

  • Be a traffic-controller. Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails, and interfacing with clients and vendors. Manage the client’s event calendar and take a proactive role in scheduling meetings, appointments, or travel arrangements, when needed.

  • Be a detail whisperer. Effectively manage projects while identifying, communicating, and resolving issues that arise. Manage and oversee event details, including timelines, budgets, vendor relations, and day-of coordination.

  • Be a solutions wizard. In the world of events, things happen. Being adaptable is essential. Be able to pivot, problem solve creatively, and change focus as needed without losing that positive, upbeat attitude you are known for.

  • Be a friendly face. Know how to engage with a variety of people meaningfully at events - making them feel seen, heard, and valued. Know how to balance this sociability with accomplishing the task at hand when running the day-of event tasks. Know how to handle tough situations (though we hope they never happen!) with evenness and decorum.

  • Be a sponge. Life-long learning benefits us all. Collaborate with our events specialist and other event producers to share your experience and knowledge. Ask for help when you’re out of your depth. Take on company learning opportunities with eagerness and ask questions when needed. Commit to learning what it takes to improve client outcomes.

Required skills…

  • The dues. Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • The chops. Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities needed.
  • The mojo. Must have the ability to build rapport with clients and vendors in person, over the phone, via text, email, or through telepathic means.
  • The details. Must be highly detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
  • The tech. Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and GSuite. We live in ClickUp and Slack.
  • The MVP. Be highly competitive, positive, and results-driven.
  • The extra mile. Be coachable, trainable, and have a good, outgoing personality.

An opportunity like this won’t last long, so apply today.
