A private club is seeking an experienced and visionary Pastry Chef to lead the pastry department. This is a hands-on leadership role for a thoughtful and driven chef with a strong foundation in classic technique, a contemporary sensibility, and a desire to push creative boundaries. We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, sets a high standard for execution, and brings both strategic oversight and daily excellence to the kitchen.

Responsibilities

As Pastry Chef , you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive pastry program that reflects a refined, modern perspective. This includes:

  • Designing and producing plated desserts, viennoiserie, breads, petit fours, ice creams, and seasonal specials with consistency, clarity, and creativity
  • Leading and mentoring the pastry team through clear communication, hands-on training, and strong kitchen culture
  • Managing day-to-day operations including prep schedules, production timelines, and service coordination
  • Driving innovation in menu development while maintaining balance, technique, and alignment with the culinary identity
  • Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to align on offerings, ingredient sourcing, and cross-department needs
  • Upholding the highest standards of quality control, cleanliness, and organization across all pastry areas
  • Overseeing inventory, ordering, and cost management with an eye toward sustainability and efficiency
  • Leading performance reviews, providing feedback, and handling disciplinary matters with professionalism and care

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 – $100,000.00)
