Principal Systems Test Engineer

Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Systems Test Engineer to lead the testing efforts for our medical device products. This role involves overseeing design verification processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving the development of automated test systems to ensure product reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems test engineering with a focus on electromechanical systems and sensors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of test plans for medical devices to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 60601 standards.
• Develop and maintain automated test systems using Python and LabView to streamline testing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and validate design specifications.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all necessary documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively, utilizing project management skills to ensure successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development in systems testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems test engineering, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Strong knowledge of design verification processes and familiarity with electromechanical systems and sensors.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++, and experience with automated test systems.
• Experience with project management principles, PMP certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.
