Job Description

A globally leading technology company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer . In this role, you’ll develop detailed 2D/3D CAD, tackle complex cross-functional design challenges, and collaborate with vendors to deliver products optimized for performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability. Key Qualifications:

2+ yrs of Mechanical Design industry experience
High degree of motivation, curiosity, passion and creativity
Design intelligence: mechanical intuition, creative problem solving, spatial reasoning, attention to detail
Engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, material science, statistics
Excellent communication skills: written, visual, and verbal. Ability to clearly convey design ideas and contribute to brainstorms
3D CAD experience with any program. 2D drafting and GD&T a plus
Experience in the design cycle from concept through manufacturing a plus
Experience designing mechanical components for mass production a plus - specifically molded, formed, and machined parts

Job Requirements:

Candidate will provide design support for products including:

Using 2D and 3D CAD to communicate design intent, inspection requirements, and test methods
Developing deep technical knowledge in areas outside your realm of expertise to understand other teams’ design constraints and craft creative solutions to technical problems
Collaborating with outside vendors and internal manufacturing experts to optimize designs for function, aesthetic, and manufacturability
Some of the skills we exercise and develop regularly: tolerance and stress analysis, electro-mechanical integration, design for high volume manufacturability and assembly, prototyping, failure analysis, simple fixture design, metrology, statistical process control

Education: BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Duration: 6 months

Pay range: $ 63.00 - $ 74.00 (DOE)
