Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to support our clients Fowler Indiana Branch with a major pharmaceutical construction project. This role will be based on-site in Lebanon, Indiana and will serve as the key coordinator for our clients industrial rigging, heavy lifting, and logistical scope of work. The ideal candidate will have a background in the trades, deep familiarity with rigging operations, and experience in managing large-scale industrial projects.

The PM will play a critical role in managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating with multiple trades and stakeholders, and ensuring safe, efficient, and on-schedule execution of our clients scope of work. The candidate must be adept at managing field logistics, interpreting lift plans, resolving operational issues in real time, and tracking progress against schedules and contract deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Coordination: Act as the central point of coordination for our clients on-site rigging, lifting, and logistics operations. Ensure that daily work plans are aligned with project goals and safely executed.
  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Assist with the development and management of detailed work plans and schedules. Coordinate with site supervisors and trade foremen to sequence activities and avoid conflicts.
  • Scope & Change Management: Monitor execution against contract scope. Identify potential change orders and work with Barnhart’s commercial team to document and process them properly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between our client, the general contractor, client representatives, and other subcontractors. Participate in daily coordination meetings and report on progress, issues, and risks.
  • Logistics Oversight: Plan and oversee the movement of heavy equipment and materials on site, including crane lifts, load-outs, and installations.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Support jobsite safety protocols. Collaborate with safety personnel to assess lift plans, ensure rigging compliance, and mitigate field hazards.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Track and report daily progress, manhours, equipment utilization, and any site incidents. Maintain thorough records of all work activities, communications, and changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial construction or rigging environments; field-based project management experience strongly preferred
  • Background in the trades, with hands-on experience in rigging, crane operations, or similar heavy industrial work
  • Working knowledge of lift planning, rigging gear inspection, equipment coordination, and site logistics
  • Proficiency with project management practices: scope tracking, schedule updates, contract documentation, and change management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead coordination efforts in the field
  • Experience working on pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, or similarly regulated construction sites is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or CAPM certification (or working toward certification) a plus
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Familiarity with Rigging & Lifting company’s operational standards, lift plans, and rigging methodologies is advantageous
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical site construction a plus but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of working in outdoor environments and industrial construction settings
  • Ability to walk the site, climb scaffolding or ladders as needed, and oversee rigging operations in real-time
