About the Company:

Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. is a general contractor focused on building infrastructure projects - bridges, highways, rail, transit, water/wastewater, and environmental. YCC is seeking a Project Manager to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and scope of work. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure all project details are defined and coordinated effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and specifications. Provide guidance and leadership to ensure safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets. Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and labor, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction activities comply with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, including safety hazards, delays, and cost overruns, and implement strategies to mitigate or resolve these risks in a timely manner.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and successes.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring that terms are adhered to and any changes are documented appropriately.
  • Safety Management: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on site.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety standards, and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost estimation, and resource management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Must present valid documentation to work in the US (Form I-9).
  • Valid driver’s license with occasional travel to project sites.

Salary Range: 100-150K per year
