Job Description

BCS Allegient has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Monitor I, II, III to join our growing team supporting the Department of Energy’s State and Community Energy Programs.

BCS Allegient, formed via a merger between BCS LLC and Allegient Defense in 2024, has a 35-year history of helping government, research and development, and private sector clients implement their programs and missions and achieve success.   • This role can be hired in the greater DC area or in Golden, CO
  • This role is hybrid with the anticipation that this person may need to be onsite 5 days a week.
  • The salary range is between $70K-$115K (based on years of experience)

Project Monitor I

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental sciences or another applicable field
  • 4 years of experience
  • Experience with programmatic support for active projects
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in documentation disciplines includes, but is not limited to, technical writing, editing, layout, document development and production, and desktop publishing.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other economic disciplines and can utilize

Project Monitor II

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental sciences or another applicable field
  • 6 years of experience
  • All the experience of a Project Monitor I
  • Provide engineering, technical, and operational leadership support for active projects
  • Perform advanced technical evaluations to identify corrective actions as needed and recommend refined project requirements
  • Coordinate with applicable stakeholders and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received
  • May conduct performance/project analysis during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/programs
  • This position requires experience in problem-solving and experience with the Federal Government, preferably with DOE
  • Furthermore, this position requires experience with policies, briefing and presentation support, document review and evaluation, program evaluation support, document preparation support, and meeting support.

Project Monitor III

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental sciences or another applicable field
  • 8 years of experience
  • All the experience of a Project Monitor II
  • Provide engineering, technical, and operational leadership support for active projects
  • Perform advanced technical evaluations to identify corrective actions as needed and recommend refined project requirements
  • This position requires leadership experience in problem-solving and experience with managing Federal financial assistance programs and individual grants
  • Experience managing DOE grants and cooperative agreements (is preferred), including knowledge of DOE-specific policies, functional requirements and procedures, regulatory compliance support specific to SCEP Programs (including, but not limited to, State Energy Program, Weatherization Assistance Program, Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant Program, Home Energy Rebates, Workforce Development and Energy Codes).
  • This position further requires capabilities related to briefing and presentation support, document review and evaluation, program evaluation support, document preparation support, and meeting support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree (2 years of experience may be substituted with a MS degree)
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Experience working with the DOE or other federal agencies
