Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Public Outreach & Brand Engagement Specialist to lead efforts in brand management, public relations, and community engagement. This role is ideal for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building public awareness and trust through strategic storytelling, media relations, and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Public Relations & Media Engagement
• Plan and execute public relations campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
• Serve as a spokesperson at workshops, panels, fairs, and community events.
• Respond to public inquiries and draft correspondence addressing services, complaints, and suggestions.
• Community Engagement
• Coordinate and participate in community outreach programs and educational events.
• Assist with education program logistics, including book deliveries and event planning.
• Lead tours and support event setup and execution.
• Content Creation & Brand Management
• Manage and grow social media presence with both short- and long-term strategies.
• Write and edit content for internal blogs and external communications.
• Design and update marketing collateral using tools like Canva.
• Maintain and update the organization’s website (WordPress experience preferred).
• Analytics & Reporting
• Track and analyze performance metrics for social media and website content.
• Present insights and recommendations in a clear, visual format.
• Administrative & Technical Support
• Prepare reports, studies, and departmental documents.
• Maintain media archives and technical documentation.
• Use Outlook to manage calendars, schedule meetings, and monitor department inboxes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in public relations, communications, or community engagement.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience managing social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
• Familiarity with WordPress and Canva is a plus.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings effectively.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to support hands-on event logistics and outreach activities.

Compensation: $33-$38/HR
