Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Manager to join our team. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in managing both quality assurance and quality control. We also seek an individual with a collaborative spirit toward process optimization, along with exceptional leadership skills and a focus on customer satisfaction. As Quality Manager, you will direct all quality assurance and control functions. You will also plan, direct and supervise all quality assurance practices and procedures adhering to customer specification and quality system continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and develop lab technicians in inspection and testing activities to ensure control over meeting material specifications in all phases of our process: raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

Establish and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.

Initiates corrective action requests to vendors and approves closeout.

Investigates quality customer complaints and initiates Action Plans for mitigation.

Develops and approves responses to customer and internal corrective action requests and assures implementation of corrective actions.

Participate in all quality audits; support ISO Coordinator on QMS continuous improvement efforts.

Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establishes proposed quality and reliability expectancy of the finished product.

Manage the maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.

Supervise, lead and manage a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

Enforce conformance to implemented policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support to meet product safety and quality standards

Participate in plant wide collaboration efforts, including meetings, problem solving exercises, and development of action plans.

Develop and implement quality control strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products or services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and customer service, to ensure quality control standards are integrated into all aspects of the organization.

Requirements

Skills to develop the lab team acumen through cross training and collaboration on the day's issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Internal ISO experience is strongly preferred.

Computer skills with ability and willingness learn how to use new data base platforms and reports. (Micromain, Sharepoint, etc)

Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.

Must be detail oriented.

Qualifications:

BS degree in Quality Control, Chemistry, or Process Engineering.

3-5 years of training and experience in Quality Control/Process Engineering in a chemical manufacturing environment.
