Job Description

The New York City Office of a medium sized law firm is looking for a Real Estate Legal Assistant to support their team whose practice focuses mainly on Residential Real Estate. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a group looking to grow. Collegial, smaller office that fosters a no task is too small culture. Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Legal Assistant at a law firm.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drafting, revising, formatting and managing mainly residential real estate related
• Assisting with duties related to closings and post-closing
• Assisting team with tasks related to the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of mainly residential and some commercial properties
• Ensuring any and all deadlines are met
• Calendaring, correspondence, matter intake, document management, conflict checks, time entry, billing and ad hoc projects

Requirenents/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 5 years of experience as a Residential Real Estate Legal Assistant; some commerical is a plus
• Experience with responsibilities for closings required
• Landlord-tenant experience highly preferred
• Ability to discern when to work with the team and independently
• Must be willing to work in office 4 days a week as well as overtime when needed
• Ability to manage competing deadlines
