Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

• Assess and manage patients with varying acuity and conditions from minor to critical.


• Provide stabilization and emergency care for patients to include specialized procedures such as triage, assisting with orthopedic procedures, cardiac procedures, ear, nose and throat procedures, wound cleansing and repair, psychiatric emergencies, etc.


• Perform admission assessment, identifying the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient.


• Plan and set priorities in the delivery of nursing care.


• Evaluate patient’s symptoms, reactions and progress. Record and report to physicians as appropriate.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota required.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Schedule

• Hours: Day/Night Shift, rotating; 24 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $32.00 - $46.50 per hour
