Job Description

Telephone triage/symptom management role for Oncology facility, with primarily hematology, surgical/medical oncology cases. Work may be done with others (5-6 RNs are on shift during the day and 3 at night) or solitary. Weekends required. Primarily night shift with occasional days as required by facility needs.


Cisco, Jabber, and Finesse systems used. Ideal candidate has one year of phone triage and oncology experience. At least one (1) year of RN experience with a minimum of six (6) months phone triage or oncology experience is REQUIRED. EPIC documentation experience REQUIRED. Positive attitude REQUIRED!

Certifications REQUIRED: BSN, BLS (AHA), CA license
OCN certification is preferred.


Skills/Experience REQUIRED: Assessment (Height/Weight, Interpretation of laboratory results, Medication Reconciliation, Pain Assessment, Patient Health Questionnaire/History/Allergies, Pulse Oximetry, Vision Testing, Vital Signs Blood Pressure, respirations, Temperature, Pulse); Chest Pain; Hypertension; Altered Level of Consciousness, Pharmacy Calls/Patient Refill Requests; Referrals; Follow Up Phone Calls; Medication Refills; Patient Teaching
