Position Summary

Kor Nutra is a health-focused company that enhances wellness through our organic and vegan-based nutraceutical gummies. We specialize in crafting delicious and nutritious gummy supplements that make healthy living enjoyable and accessible for all. We are seeking a R&D Scientist to join our dynamic team and contribute to developing innovative gummy products.

Responsibilities

• Product Development: Plan, coordinate, and guide the development of new gummy products, including pre-formulation studies, formulation development, process optimization, and stability studies.
• Project Oversight: Ensure thorough technical review and oversight for portfolio projects and programs.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Communicate effectively with management, other departments, and customers to coordinate development activities, share results, and plan the next steps.
• Compliance and Safety: Operate under and maintain GMP/GLP standards, ensuring the upholding of health and safety practices.
• Process Improvement: Maintain and enhance compliance with training, best practices, safety protocols, and cleaning requirements.
• Representation: Lead discussions in technical, governance, executive, and customer meetings to represent the functional area and projects.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including working extended hours or weekends when necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Product Development: Demonstrated leadership in the development of supplements.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in dietary supplement manufacturing, food, or pharmaceutical facilities.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in developing confectionery-based products and familiarity with formulation and analytical approaches for dietary supplement development.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities to influence and motivate others across various functional areas.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
