Pay: $50000 - $55000 based on experience

Job Description:

The Sales Assistant will support the sales team by processing customer orders, managing account information, coordinating shipments, and providing exceptional service to customers and internal partners. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate order management and sales operations support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders from entry to billing, coordinating with internal and external teams.
  • Track and monitor order progress, expediting as needed to meet delivery schedules.
  • Create and manage invoices and shipping documentation, especially for international orders.
  • Maintain and update customer pricing, material files, and supplier portal data.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasting documents, and margin tracking reports for sales leadership.
  • Assist in managing onsite and offsite inventory programs, ensuring accurate records.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams via phone and email regarding order status and inquiries.
  • Support account receivable efforts by helping resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, compile data, and assist in documentation of processes.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the sales and logistics teams.

Qualifications:

  • Between 2-3 years of inside sales, customer service, or account management experience
  • Distribution or manufacturing industry experience is a major plus.
  • High school diploma required; some college coursework or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems required
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls to customers and coordinating across teams.
