Summary:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Scientist I – Immunology at a growing, innovative biotech company in the Bay Area. If you have a strong background in immunology and are passionate about contributing to groundbreaking research in immunological diseases and cancer, this is the role for you!

South San Francisco (5 days a week onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments focused on human immune cell function and disease mechanisms
• Utilize techniques like multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, and whole blood assays to assess immune responses
• Lead and collaborate on cutting-edge research projects, contributing to strategic initiatives
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and IND submissions

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field (or an M.S. with significant industry experience)
• 3-5 years of experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong expertise in T and B cell immunology; knowledge of myeloid and granulocyte biology is a plus
• Proven ability to lead research projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of scientific innovation
• Experience with immunohistochemistry, ELISPOT, molecular biology techniques, and single-cell RNA analysis is a plus
