Job Description

Basic Function:

As the Senior Director of Sales at HCT by kdc/one, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for driving the business forward in the competitive cosmetics industry. This role requires maintaining and growing relationships with key accounts, providing strategic oversight to expand market presence and product offerings, and leading the sales strategy and operations. You will champion innovative products, acquire new clients, penetrate new markets, and launch groundbreaking campaigns. Additionally, you will manage the sales team, ensuring the effective development and execution of strategies that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Deepen relationships with existing clients while strategically expanding the client base, focusing on securing high-value accounts and long-term partnerships.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with top-tier clients in the beauty and personal care industry, including direct interactions with senior executives at major brands.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to clients, negotiate and close deals, and ensure on-time delivery of samples, quotes, and orders.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Spearhead the exploration and cultivation of new business opportunities, using market analytics to guide product development and drive innovation.
  • Utilize advanced market intelligence and consumer insights to develop compelling sales strategies and presentations that resonate with clients and differentiate HCT by kdc/one in the marketplace.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Mentor and lead the sales team, fostering a culture of success, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Set performance standards, evaluate progress, and provide ongoing development opportunities.
  • Oversee the integration of sales operations with other departments, ensuring seamless delivery of client commitments.

Operational and Financial Oversight:

  • Provide comprehensive reports on sales forecasts, market conditions, and financial performance to senior management.
  • Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and refine sales strategies.
  • Manage and expand existing accounts while establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Address and resolve complex customer issues, establishing protocols to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service by coordinating with Project Managers and other departments on client projects.

Market Representation and Networking:

  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance corporate visibility and market influence.
  • Lead complex negotiations, manage extended sales cycles, and close deals with key accounts to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Initiate and direct market research efforts to identify new business development opportunities and recommend strategies for market penetration.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing major accounts and conducting high-level negotiations.
  • Deep knowledge of the cosmetic sector and trends, leveraging this understanding in strategic planning and execution.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse sales team.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and financial reports.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and influence product development strategies.
  • Familiarity with global markets and an understanding of international business practices within the cosmetics industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally, to meet with clients and attend industry events.
