Job Title: Senior Manager, Distribution & Logistics

Location: Naperville, IL (On-site)

Industry: Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) – Pet Health Products

Employment Type: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Seniority Level: Senior Management

Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 annually

Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus up to 20% of base salary

Position Summary

LHH is recruiting a Senior Manager, Distribution & Logistics for a fast-growing pet health CPG company. This leadership role is responsible for managing warehouse operations, transportation logistics, inventory accuracy, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, a collaborative approach, and the ability to scale distribution in a dynamic environment.

The company has experienced rapid growth and is seeking a leader who can bring fresh ideas and overcome resistance to change while supporting a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and safety
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a warehouse team and logistics coordinator
  • Manage transportation providers and TMS to ensure efficient distribution
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives across logistics and warehouse functions
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve service quality and operational workflows
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and ensure service reliability
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead safety training efforts
  • Oversee logistics and warehouse budgets with a focus on cost control
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and order accuracy
  • Support organizational growth and lead change management initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse management with at least 2 years in leadership
  • Experience in CPG, eCommerce, or pet health product logistics preferred
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), NetSuite experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
  • Experience driving cost optimization and process improvements
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage resistance to change
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications a plus
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) a plus but not required

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
  • Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus up to 20% of base salary (bonus eligibility and amount are based on company and/or individual performance)
