Principal Construction Program Manager

We have an immediate opportunity for a Principal Construction Program Manager for the Los Angeles area. This individual will be overseeing the design, preconstruction and construction phases of critical improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to organize the work and staff of the Construction Team
• Administer the contracts to ensure all contract requirements are met by all parties in the contract
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings to go over the progress, schedule and cost
• Support the project controls team to include scheduling, risk management and estimating
• Negotiate any improvements or required change orders
• Experience managing construction phase claim resolution and documentation which may include dispute resolution board, mediation, and arbitration
• Administration of all required permits, licenses, agreements and certifications
• Perform constructability reviews and ability to identify innovations and enhancements
• Experience with identifying resources, recruiting, and training with employment compliance of subcontractors on site

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences
• As least of the following licenses/certifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• PMI Project Management professional (PMP) certification
• PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
• AICP Certification
• Progressive Design Build and Contractors Background
• Experience leading construction management for large transportation and infrastructure projects
• Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software and we-based collaboration software
• 10 years plus experience in highway and bridge projects, transit, rail grade separation or other transportation related projects
• 10 years or more of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management to include all processes of construction management
• Proficiency with construction management software to include Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, and Micro Software Suite
• A minimum of six years of program management experience, with at least four years as a Program Manager or similar role with experience delivering concurrent programs with a total value of $350 million or more
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with various types of tools used to manage large programs for scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, asset management, and dashboard analytics
