Services include radio media tours, satellite media tours, audio news releases, and more for a diverse set of clients, including PR firms, corporations, non-profits and government agencies.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Media Relations Manager at Strauss Media Strategies, Inc. We are specifically seeking candidates either extensive experience working within a broadcast newsroom or demonstrable success in placing guests on broadcast outlets. Extra credit will be given for experience working with podcast producers and outlet with national reach.

You will be tasked with working with a very diverse set of clients to help understand their communication goals and to counsel them on an appropriate broadcast outreach strategy. Additionally, you will be asked to work directly with members of the media to deliver on this strategy. Projects can be long-lead or require quick turn-around, so the ability to work with grace under pressure is admirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in broadcast media relations or a broadcast newsroom
  • Press Releases, Media Relations, and Strategic Communications skills
  • A general understanding of Public Relations and the Broadcast News Industry
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong network of media contacts and relationships
  • Bachelor's Degree
