Senior Sales Director – Automotive Systems

Location: San Jose, CA (HQ)

Our mission is to modernize vehicle interaction by replacing mechanical controls with intelligent, software-defined surfaces that are intuitive, reliable, and beautiful.

We’re seeking a Senior Sales Director to lead our system-level sales efforts with global automotive OEMs and Tier 1s. This is a strategic, high-impact role for a seasoned leader with deep relationships in the automotive industry and a proven track record of building sales teams, driving revenue, and scaling system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive system-level sales of UltraSense’s HMI solutions (UltraTouch, UltraSwitch, UltraSlide) to global OEMs and Tier 1s across interior and exterior applications.
  • Establish and lead regional sales and FAE teams, including hiring, coaching, and setting up local offices or partner channels in key automotive regions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align customer needs with company capabilities, from concept through RFQ, design win, and SOP.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, working closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure roadmap alignment and competitive differentiation.
  • Represent UltraSense at industry events, executive briefings, and C-level engagements, leveraging your network to open doors and deepen customer relationships.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct sales experience selling complex systems or technologies into automotive OEMs and Tier 1s.
  • Strong technical background in HMI, sensors, electronics, or embedded systems preferred.
  • Proven track record of securing multi-million dollar design wins and production programs at major automotive accounts.
  • Extensive industry network across North America, Europe, or Asia with decision-makers in OEM/Tier 1 organizations.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing sales and field applications teams in global markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence; able to navigate complex sales cycles and build strategic relationships.
