Fuller Group is a growing, medium sized structural engineering and forensics firm that practices in forty-eight states. The firm provides engineering services on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects. Project types include office, retail, industrial facilities, healthcare,, schools, and historic buildings. Construction types include designs in steel, concrete, masonry, tilt wall, and wood.

Role Description

Fuller Group is looking for self-motivated individuals who enjoy challenging projects, working with other engineers in a team environment, and interfacing directly with clients. The Structural Project Engineer will oversee and manage all aspects of structural engineering projects. This is a full-time hybrid role, located in Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design calculations for wood, concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures
  • Manage assigned projects from schematic design through construction
  • Attend “kick-off” and design review meetings
  • Use various engineering related computer software (RAM, Risa, Adapt, etc.)
  • Utilize designers to prepare construction documents
  • Research code issues and coordinate with City, State, and County requirements regarding local code requirements and design criteria
  • Conduct field work/surveys
  • Perform structural assessments and write technical reports
  • Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommend necessary changes (i.e. shop drawing review)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Strong Calculations, Structural Analysis, and Structural Engineering skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Experience in the design and analysis of various structures (commercial buildings and industrial buildings)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
