FC Mother is seeking a passionate and creative intern to support the global rollout of the Mothers of Football campaign—an emotionally-driven social media movement celebrating the healing power of motherhood through football.

This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate with strong digital instincts, a love of storytelling, and the ability to navigate fast-paced campaigns that involve real voices, cultural nuance, and AI-assisted scale.

You will work closely with our social, creative, and partnerships teams to drive global engagement, elevate mother-submitted stories, and build an enduring online movement across Brazil, Mexico, and the U.S.

FC Mother is a global initiative that unites football and public health to support mothers and families through the power of community. Over the last decade, FC Mother has built the world’s leading health, science and football ecosystem, with partners including Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), and football networks like the Sports Doctors Network and World Football Summit.

We recently launched the World Cup of Healing —a friendly competition between football communities in Brazil, the U.S., and Mexico to generate the most healthy life years for mothers and families through storytelling, support, and healing services.

1. Campaign Content Coordination

• Assist in sourcing, curating, and scheduling authentic story-based content across Instagram and TikTok
• Transform audio stories submitted by mothers into compelling short-form video content using AI tools and video editing platforms (e.g. CapCut, Headliner)

2. Community Engagement & Growth

• Monitor campaign hashtags and user engagement across regions
• Respond to community messages and comments using FC Mother’s tone of voice and AI-assisted moderation systems
• Highlight user-generated content and identify opportunities for amplification

3. Research & Influencer Support

• Identify local football influencers, clubs, and communities aligned with our campaign values
• Support outreach efforts and help draft social media toolkits for influencers and partners

4. Analytics & Optimization

• Track social KPIs and generate weekly performance reports
• Use sentiment and engagement data to recommend content strategy adjustments

Academic Background:

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a top-tier Communications, Marketing, or MBA program (e.g., USC Annenberg, NYU, Northwestern Medill, Wharton, Kellogg, Columbia, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience managing digital or social campaigns for a brand, nonprofit, publication, or university group

Skills & Experience:

• Experience running or supporting campaigns on Instagram or TikTok (personal, academic, or professional)
• Interest in global football culture, motherhood, and digital storytelling
• Strong written communication and content editing skills
• Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Descript, or similar creative tools preferred
• Bonus: Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish

Hourly Rate: $22 USD/hour
