Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Location: Novi, MI 48374

Contract duration: 13 weeks

Shift:5X8 -hours

Schedule: Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist on a variety of general surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies according to the case type.
• Check and ensure proper functioning of instruments and report any needed repairs.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, infection control, and safety standards.
• Manage sterile supplies efficiently and demonstrate cost-consciousness.
• Assist RN in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients from the OR.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support leadership with supply management and par level adjustments.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Precept and train new staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience: Must have OR experience with orthopedic joints (knee, hip, shoulder, etc.) .
• Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Required: Current BLS certification.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: At least one year of Surgical Technologist experience.
